Lion-headed rabbits attract attention with their exotic appearance. Distributed as pets. These dwarf animals really know how to give love and good mood. Easy to make friends with children and adults. In the article we will reveal all the necessary information about the lion-headed breed of rabbits.

The main features of the breed

At the beginning of the two thousandth years of crossing dwarf shorthair and fluffy rabbits yielded results. A new unique breed has appeared - the lion's head rabbit. The head looks like a mini version of a real lion, thanks to which he gained such popularity. Around the head and neck a lush mane grows, in other areas the coat is quite short.

The lion-headed rabbit can be recognized by its characteristic features:

  • Small compact physique.
  • Highly raised rounded head.
  • Beautiful face resembles a lion.
  • V-shaped straight ears
  • On the head and chest, lush fur, in other areas short.
  • The paws are small but powerful.
  • Beautiful elongated eyes are quite widespread.
  • Colors can be very diverse: Thuringian, Siam, orange, faun, marder, black, white, ruby, chocolate, lilac, agouti and others.

The weight of this dwarf ornamental rabbit rarely exceeds 1700 grams. Young growth weighs approximately 1200. A weight of less than 700 grams is considered abnormally low.

With proper care, the pet lives a rather long life. By rabbit standards, 6–8 years.

Pet character

The lion-headed dwarf rabbit is extremely good-natured, calm and balanced. Easy to educate and train. A pet can be taught elementary teams, which will bring a lot of fun to children. Having worked hard, people teach the pet simple tricks.

Despite all its kindness, the lion's head is a very shy animal. In incomprehensible situations and loud noise, he may be frightened and look for where to hide. In this state, it can show aggression.

It is necessary to remember some features of the breed. The animal is afraid of sudden movements and unexpected behavior. You should never pick up from above when he does not see you. Do not touch his ears, it brings discomfort.

Choosing a Good One

Choose the lion-headed rabbit with all responsibility. It must be looked after until death. Under ideal conditions, life expectancy is 10–11 years. Choose a healthy individual that does not bring many problems.

The lion’s head should have a thick lush coat with a length of 5 centimeters or more. At the same time, broad short shoulders and hips. Beautiful rounded muzzle. Vertical ears with small hairs over the entire area. Choose active individuals, make sure the ears, eyes and nose are clean. In diseases it is they who suffer first. If you need a copy for exhibitions, choose an adult. As a decorative animal, little rabbits are better suited.

Care and maintenance

A pet needs a large cage to provide a natural need for movement. From below it is recommended to put plywood on which to lay hay or other bedding. Inside there should be a house of suitable sizes, where the pet will be able to hide from external factors. A drinker and feeder are required.

With a decent content, the lion-headed rabbit lives a full 8-10 years. After the purchase, it is recommended to leave the pet alone in his new home. Do not try to tame the rabbit at once. He is experiencing stress from moving and now you can only aggravate his condition.

When the situation normalizes, you need to accustom your pet to the tray, this is done quite simply. Detailed instructions here: we teach the rabbit to use the toilet.

Lionhead breed is quite easy to train teams and tricks. The result can only be achieved by tenderness and love. Any scream will be followed by a violent negative reaction. The pet will begin to be afraid and will have to regain his confidence. Learning takes place only through encouragement.

The decorative lion-headed rabbit is very beautiful, but requires careful care. Mane needs to be combed daily with a gentle comb. Otherwise, it may get into the mouth.

Take care of enough natural foods: fresh vegetables, fruits, herbs, root vegetables, herbs, twigs, and hay. Take an example from a diet in the wild.

A rabbit requires a balanced diet. The diet should include:

  • Solid feed: twigs and hay,
  • Juicy food: vegetables and root crops,
  • Cereal crops
  • Fresh greens and tops,
  • Vitamin and mineral supplements.

The basis of the diet is hay, which affects tooth grinding. You can give apples, pears, cauliflower, lettuce, turnips, pumpkin and carrots. As a treat, sometimes add dandelion.

In no case should you feed the rabbit with white cabbage, walnuts, cookies, sweets, beets, potatoes and bakery products.

Rabbit the lion's head does not have super-powerful immunity and is susceptible to disease. Often prone to viral and infectious diseases. Sometimes it is very difficult to cure the animal, so try to prevent such situations. Animals can easily become infected with the following infectious diseases: myxomatosis, pneumonia, infectious rhinitis, stomatitis and conjunctivitis.

Lionhead breed is susceptible to skin diseases and fungus: subdermatitis, scabies, lichen. Weak digestive organs, which can cause diarrhea and constipation.

Prevention of most diseases is timely vaccination. You need to do it at least once a year.

Price and owner reviews

You can buy a lion-headed rabbit in private breeders, pet stores and nurseries. The price of an animal depends on the age, color, condition and region of purchase. On average, a small rabbit costs 2000–3000 rubles. In some pet stores in Moscow, the price may vary significantly. Adult lion-headed rabbits cost around 7–9 thousand rubles.

Try to find private scammers, there you can buy several times cheaper. Sometimes people on the Internet sell young animals because they do not have the ability to support them. They can be borrowed for several hundred rubles or even for free.

Almost all reviews are good and emphasize the main advantages of the animal. But there are several negative ones that emphasize excessive timidity. Sometimes they notice activity, the animal never sits in place and is constantly busy with something. But many consider this a positive factor. Sometimes people cannot train a rabbit to use the toilet. But here you just need to take the right tactics and be patient.

Origin

Not so long ago, the Belgian breeders managed to breed an unusual breed of rabbits - the lion's head. Such an unusual name was given to them for their outward resemblance to the king of animals. These animals have long and thick hair on their heads and necks, like a lion's mane. The lion-headed rabbit was obtained by crossing the Dutch shaggy dwarf rabbits with representatives of the Swiss fox breed.

After some time, rabbit breeding clubs became interested in lion-headed rabbits, including members of the British community of rabbit breeders. A little later, the Americans showed interest in this unusual breed. In 2002, rabbits with a lion's mane were recognized as representatives of a separate breed. Since that time, they were able to take part in various exhibitions, where they found more and more fans. Two years later, in America, the lion head breed standards were officially approved.

Lion-headed rabbits are decorative dwarf breeds. When planning to purchase a purebred pet, it is important to carefully study the standards and characteristics of the breed:

  1. The average weight of an adult ranges from 1.7 kg.
  2. A rabbit at the age of six months weighs about 1300 grams.
  3. The body of representatives of this breed is well developed. The muscles of the animal are clearly visible, there should be no fatty deposits on the body.
  4. Chest, hips and shoulders are proportional.
  5. In lion-headed rabbits, the head has a rounded shape. Across the entire circumference, it is framed by thick and long hair. The length of the hairs of the mane is about 5 cm. The hair falls beautifully on the chest.
  6. The auricles are erect, dense at the base, their length is not more than 5 cm. The tips of the ears are rounded, and the shells themselves are evenly covered with short and soft wool.
  7. The eyes of animals are wide apart, the look is expressive, open.
  8. The muzzle is rounded.

Rabbit appearance

Lion-headed rabbits can have different colors. There are individuals with a uniform or combined coat color: black, white, orange, peach. The following colors prevail in this breed: marder and faun, siam, agouti, Thuringian.

Maintenance and care

Like all decorative rabbits, lionheads are distinguished by increased demanding care. These animals are very gentle and sensitive, they are keenly sensitive to a change of environment and are subject to stress. Moving from a store to a new house can greatly scare the animal, and therefore, after arriving at a new place of residence, it is better to leave the rabbit alone. Let him get comfortable, come to his senses.

It is important to take care of a comfortable home for your pet. He will need a spacious cage - at least 70x50 cm, a tray where he will relieve himself, a drinking bowl and a house for sleeping. Decorative rabbits cannot be kept in a draft, in a stuffy, hot or damp room. The optimum temperature for animals is from 16 to 24 degrees Celsius. It is best to place the cage in the quietest room of the apartment, where the pet is not disturbed by other occupants of the house or loud noises.

Particular attention should be paid to caring for the hair of a lion-headed rabbit. It is long and thick, falls out during moulting abundantly, so it needs to be combed out often. If this is not done, there is a risk that the animal, by licking itself, will swallow a large amount of hair. This is dangerous, because rabbits, unlike cats, do not know how to spit up wool. In these animals, an intestinal blockage often occurs due to hair clumps that have entered it. From this, the pet may die.

Important! Decorative dwarf lion-headed rabbits need careful attention to their health. If you suspect a pet is ill, you should urgently show the veterinarian.

Once a month, the owner of a lion head rabbit should pay attention to the bite of the animal’s teeth. If they do not grind, they can cause stomatitis and other health problems. It is important to maintain cleanliness in the cage: remove excrement twice a day, change water in a drinking bowl, and collect the rest of the feed. Once a month, the animal is disinfected. It’s not worth bathing the lion-headed rabbit unnecessarily: this procedure is unpleasant and unnatural for him. If the animal gets dirty, for example, with diarrhea, it is better to wash it partially, but not completely.

The rabbit the lion's head must be balanced in order to stay healthy. With proper care and good nutrition, he is able to live about 11 years. In the diet of a thoroughbred pet must be present:

Juicy food: vegetables, root crops

  • roughage: tree branches and hay,
  • juicy food: vegetables, root crops,
  • concentrates: crops,
  • green food: fresh greens and tops,
  • vitamin and mineral supplements.

Hay and roughage contribute to grinding of teeth in eared pets. This food is necessarily included in the pet menu. The complete set of nutrients and vitamins is found in rabbit feed.

Important! Lion-headed rabbit should not be given cookies, sweets, rolls, red beets, wet grass and poisonous plants. The owner of the animal must check the feed base for mold. Food contaminated with a fungus can cause poisoning and lead to the death of a decorative rabbit.

Lion-headed rabbit, origin, features of behavior and character

The origin of the miniature lion-headed rabbit is reliably unknown, although it is a very young breed. Either this is a product of crossing a long-haired rabbit with a smooth-haired one, or a product of a mutation. It is only clear that the genes that determine the development of mane are dominant. When crossing a lion-headed rabbit with ordinary offspring, it will turn out with a mane.

Single or double bunny rabbit?

Lion-headed rabbits are divided into two groups:

  • with a single mane. These rabbits are not very fluffy, they have long hair only on the neck around their heads. Moreover, with age, these rabbits begin to lose mane,
  • with double mane. Those that are usually shown in promotional photographs. They have long hair not only on the neck, but also on the hips.
On the left is a rabbit with one dominant allele of the mane in the genome, that is, with a single mane. The rabbit on the right in the genome has two dominant mane genes, such animals are called double-mane rabbits.

Lion-headed rabbit care

With proper care, lion-headed rabbits live up to 11 years. But for proper care, you need to not only provide rabbits with cages, food and water, but also observe certain conditions specific to long-haired rabbits. Some of the care procedures are not familiar to Russian owners. Read also the article: → “Features of caring for decorative rabbits, recommendations for feeding, keeping”.

In addition to water and food, the rabbit needs:

  • daily exercise. Reduce the risk of getting spinal problems due to weak back muscles and the likelihood of obesity,
  • brushing 3 times a week. During molting daily,
  • daily combing of mane. Otherwise, it goes astray, especially when molting,
  • monthly claw trimming. The animal does not have the ability to grind its claws in a natural way, so it needs help.

Of hay, timothy is best suited. Alfalfa hay is suitable for young animals up to 6 months, but will be too high in calories for older rabbits. In addition to alfalfa, the rabbit should be given full-grain granules.

Tip # 1. From the granules you need to choose those in which the maximum fiber and minimum protein.

Fresh juicy food is better not to give. The rabbit is too small to be able to accurately calculate the required rate, and giving immediately a large amount of unusual food will lead to problems with the digestive tract. Breeding of lion-headed rabbits, specificity of mane inheritance

The inheritance of the mane is determined by the dominant gene M. With the combination of MM, the rabbit is obtained with a double mane, with the combination of MM with a single mane, with the combination of mm, without a mane.

Tip # 2. To understand which bunny is one-maned and which two-maned, they must be carefully examined immediately after birth. Later, when they begin to grow wool, it will not be clear who is who.

Even if you managed to buy only single-mane rabbits, you don’t need to get upset.

In addition to rabbits with double mane, in this case we get the same number of ordinary non-lion-headed rabbits. The rest will be single.

When mating rabbits with a single mane, 25% of the offspring will be double.

Mating MM with MM will produce 50% offspring with double mane.

And a short list of mane inheritance in all possible variations:

  • MM + MM = 100% MM. There are no exceptions
  • MM + MM = 50% MM, 50% MM,
  • MM + mm = 100% mm. With no exceptions,
  • Mm + mm = 50% mm, 25% mm, 25% mm,
  • Mm + mm = 50% mm, 50% mm,
  • mm + mm = 100% mm. With no exceptions.

Since genes during fertilization are not necessarily mathematically accurately distributed, the number of rabbits with the desired set of genes can vary in each particular litter. The values in the list are average.

Where to buy a lion-headed rabbit?

The choice of sites for the purchase of a lion-headed rabbit, to put it mildly, is not great:

The choice of lion-headed rabbits is even less. None of these sites is a nursery site, which means there is no guarantee that a quality rabbit will be bought there. This is a lottery. Buying a rabbit is better in a proven nursery, free from diseases dangerous to rabbits and guaranteeing the purchase of a quality animal or warning about the sale of culling.

How to choose a quality rabbit

Buying cubs is always a lottery. The most conscientious breeder cannot be 100% sure what quality an adult animal will be. If you need an exhibition breeding specimen, you need to take an adult rabbit. The rabbit must comply with the breed standard. Which of the two? Depends on planned visits to exhibitions.

Requirements for the rabbit:

  • activity,
  • clean nose and eyes
  • clean ears
  • nice looking and touch coat
  • lack of dirt under the tail,
  • clearly emerging mane
  • lack of signs of rickets. Everything else will become clear only with time.

Tip # 3. For a little rabbit, transportation is very stressful. Do not aggravate the fright of the animal, trying to immediately pick it up. Give him time to get comfortable.

Errors of keeping lion-headed rabbits

  1. Chocolate Rabbit Feeding. It happens. Because "he wants to." But chocolate is poison even for humans. The question is in dosage. A miniature rabbit does not need much, especially if you remember that the digestive system of rabbits is generally very tender.
  2. A sharp change in the type of feed. Not everyone guesses from the breeder how he feeds his rabbits. Having brought the animal to his home, they begin to feed him with what, according to the new owners, is suitable for a rabbit. But even if these are the best feeds in the world, they must be introduced gradually. It is better to either talk to the breeder in advance and for the first time buy food that is familiar to the animal, or buy some food from the breeder. Read also the article: → “How to feed rabbits and how: types of feed, nutritional standards”.
  3. Bathing rabbits. No matter how long the rabbit has and how dirty it is, bathing the rabbit should be avoided. This is a serious stress for them. A healthy animal can clean itself, the patient needs a veterinarian.

Questions about keeping a lion-headed rabbit

Question number 1. Where and how much better to walk the lion-headed rabbit.

Best nowhere and not at all. These rabbits, unfortunately, do not differ in cleanliness and crap anywhere. If the rabbit lives in a private house, you can make him a house with a walk in the garden. But since the rabbit needs movement, it will be necessary to provide him with suitable shells, similar to a squirrel wheel, but adapted specifically for rabbits. It is very important that the shells are designed for rabbits. In the same squirrel wheel, a rabbit can break a foot.

Question number 2. How to teach a lion-headed rabbit to the toilet?

If you have a male, you can try putting the litter of another rabbit in the right place. Males strive to mark the marks of the opponent. Since rabbits are quite constant in their predilections, he will begin to defecate in the “indicated” place. This does not apply to females in hunting at all. They leave marks and droppings everywhere in order to attract the male. In order for the female to stop doing this, she must be sterilized. While not hunting, the rabbit also defecates in a certain place.

Question number 3. Why did my rabbit start biting?

Most likely because he began a period of puberty and the establishment of a hierarchy. If the rabbit is not planned for breeding, it is better to be neutered.

Question number 4. Why give the rabbit hay?

Because this is the basis of his natural diet. A rabbit will live well without juicy fruits and vegetables if it has high-quality hay and full-grain granules in its diet, but it cannot survive without roughage, which is hay. Thanks to the fiber contained in the hay, the digestive tract works normally in a rabbit.

Question number 5. How to disinfect and clean the cage?

Manure and litter are cleaned with a scraper. After that, the pan is washed and rinsed in any disinfectant.

Question number 6. How often do I need to clean the cage?

Description of the Lion-headed Rabbit

Thanks to its truly lion's mane near its head, rabbits look attractive in any color. They are very fond of attention and can become a good friend, but subject to certain features of the content. The standards of this breed are first enshrined in the UK and the USA. Although with all this, Belgium can be considered the homeland. They are widely distributed in all countries as animals for the home and family.

It is interesting! By their nature, lion-headed rabbits are extremely peaceful and kind. They are also moderately mobile, energetic, active. The animal has a complaisant disposition. With gentle treatment, the pet will definitely answer the owner the same.

If you make a little effort, you can even teach them simple tricks. But he is very shy. Once he gets into a noisy and frightening environment, he can show signs of aggression. The lion-headed rabbit gets along wonderfully with both adults and children. But in close contact with the animal should be on the alert. Sudden movements can scare him. He also does not tolerate touching his ears, on which there are many nerve endings. Therefore, when acquiring an animal for a child, it is important to familiarize him with all the features of communication with this animal.

Appearance

The size of the lion-headed rabbit is relatively small. This is a small animal whose body is shortened. Despite this, his body is well developed, and his chest is wide. The ears of a rabbit are about 8 centimeters long. Most often they are fluffy, but the hair on them is shorter than on the mane. The eyes are wide apart on a small muzzle. The neck is short, completely invisible behind the thick coat, smoothly passing into the cheeks. Despite the miniature lion-headed rabbit, its hind limbs are long and strong. An adult rabbit weighs about 1.5-1.8 kg, babies up to six months - no more than 700g.

The breed does not have a single color. There are about 60 different color variations. The most common sable, black, chocolate, white and purple. The most valuable representatives with blue, opal, chinchilla and orange coat.

Breed standards

The breed standard has exterior features. We will present official requirements from 2016. These include a stocky, muscular, rounded trunk. His shoulders and chest should be wide, his body is firm and elastic to the touch. Legs of medium length, not too thin in the bone compared to the size of the animal. Head wide with wide-set eye sockets.

There should not be a visible long neck. The ears of a lion-headed rabbit should not exceed 8.9 centimeters. In order to make sure the ears are healthy, it is not necessary to touch them. Over the entire length, they should be covered with a good thick coat, the tips may be rounded, but the ear does not look bent.

It is interesting! The eyes of a lion-headed rabbit are bold and bright. They can be red, blue or another shade depending on the color of the animal’s coat.

The rabbit has a "bib" - mane. A section of breast covered with elongated, thick, healthy coat. It has a medium-soft texture. The remaining hair may be present, but should not be rudely felt. The mane forms a full circle of fur 5-7cm. in length and increases to a V-shaped wedge on the back of the neck, falling into a fringe around the head, with expanded fur on the chest in the form of semi-overalls. The maximum possible density of mane can form a hat on the eyebrow. This feature significantly increases the cost of the animal. The extended fur on the cheeks should extend into the bed of the mustache, but the center of the front edge, located below the line of the eyes, should be transparent from sparse fur.

The coat should be thick, medium length. There can be no elongated or shortened sections of hair at the back. To the touch, it should not resemble angora or cashmere, but be a little rougher. All varieties of rabbit color schemes are officially recognized. Animals with different eyes, malocclusion, lack of mane or fur chest, incorrect painted nails are disqualified at the exhibitions.

Also adults for 1.70 kg in weight. The officially recognized weight varies in the range - 1.36-1.70 kg. The representative of the breed must be perfectly healthy and clean. Unacceptable pollution in the feet, ears and genitals.

Lifestyle and behavior

In most cases, the lion-headed rabbit is a friendly and well-mannered pet. Representatives of the breed can be trained, as they are very intelligent creatures. Under experienced, caring treatment, the lion-headed rabbit comprehend some commands, such as “come”, “play” or “eat”. These animals are sometimes used to develop communication skills in autistic children.

It is interesting! The lion-headed rabbit is glad to see you, but if he doesn’t want to sit on his hands and is held by force, he will have to defend himself. Namely - to scratch and bite.

Life span

Among rabbits, it is difficult to find a long-liver. On average, a rabbit lives about 7 years. Dwarf breeds and even less - about 5-6 years. Life expectancy directly depends on the quality of life of the pet. The lion-headed rabbit's life expectancy record is 11 years. Choose the right food to provide the animal with all the necessary nutrients. Monitor the availability of drinking and give the necessary vaccinations on time. Do not treat the animal as a soft toy that can be thoughtlessly squeezed, thrown and rudely used. Such treatment can cause him not only extreme stress, but also illness.

Lion-headed rabbit content

Lion-headed rabbits are unpretentious in content. But still, before buying, you should be a little prepared. It is important to allow him to get comfortable some time after acquiring the animal. Try not to make sharp loud noises, running around, etc., this can frighten the animal, such stress is contraindicated to them.

Cell selection, filling

It is better to buy a cage in advance, it should be spacious. The size is 100x80x70 cm. Place it in a place where direct sunlight does not fall. The temperature regime ideal for keeping a lion-headed rabbit is 23 ° C. The animal should be able to observe people at the same time, but also feel safe and calm. Do not get him out of the cage for the first couple of days, speak quietly.

Important! The filler should not contain coniferous sawdust, the animal may develop an allergy to them.

If the animal has not yet been accustomed to cope with its needs in the tray - do not allow walks around the house unattended, otherwise the training will become more complicated. At the same time, do not keep him locked up all day, let's take a little walk. For example, you can release it after it is empty.

Care, hygiene

Lion-headed rabbits love to lick themselves for a long time. Fur entering the stomach can cause intestinal obstruction. Therefore, it is important to comb the animal regularly. However, they do not fade at all and even allergy sufferers can afford them.

Lion-headed rabbit diet

The main diet should be specialized feed. Feeding is carried out 2 times a day. In addition to it, the animal can occasionally be given cereals, vegetables (turnips, pumpkin, cauliflower). Also suitable for feeding branches of acacia and mountain ash. Be sure to give the rabbit carrots. This is necessary for grinding the teeth and ensuring the health of the oral cavity. You can pamper your pet with dead herbs - dandelion or plantain. It is also permissible to add meat and bone meal and vitamin supplements to the feed (especially in winter).

Important! Any change in behavior should alert, if the pet is breathing strangely, contact your veterinarian immediately.

Excessive sweet fruit in the baby’s diet can lead to illness. In the diet of a lion-headed rabbit a lot - does not mean good. Follow his “figure”, from time to time, feel the ridge, if there is a soft layer of fat on it - your animal is obese and it’s time to go on a diet.

Diseases, breed defects

The first days in a new house, the animal may experience stress, which is accompanied by diarrhea. To alleviate the condition, feed him oatmeal. Be careful with cats. They can greatly scare a small pet. If he began to grunt - do not worry, this is a manifestation of strong emotions.

Important! Watch the rabbit's behavior closely. Diarrhea, overgrowing, wheezing or the presence of parasites are reasons to go to the veterinarian.

Buying a Rabbit - Tips

When buying an animal, make sure that it matches the breed parameters. It should have smooth, fluffy fur without flaws. It has a lush mane, about 5 cm long. The rest of the hair should be the same length, the transition from mane to the body can not be sharp.

Pay attention to the shape of the head, it should be without sharp points. Ears are covered with moderately long hair, eyes are bright, lively. Observe the animal for a while, it must be mobile, active and with excellent appetite.

Owner reviews

Owner reviews are rather positive. The animal is really good-natured and affectionate. It is fun to play with children with a mild, calm temperament. A rabbit can learn to roll balls on the floor or rearrange small objects with teeth. At the same time, he looks very nice, which crosses out all the hardships of caring for him. And you really have to take care regularly. Because if an animal can learn to write in a certain place, then bowel movement is uncontrolled. In addition, the animal can scatter stools on its legs, moving around the house.

And not many owners manage to get him to write to the designated place. Releasing a pet for a walk, literally, you have to walk with a scoop and a broom. The experience of the owners shows that it is better to buy feed at a pet store. There to take and hay for him. This will help to avoid buying low-quality products. Hay has to be planted constantly, since the crumpled crawl no longer wants to eat. And he must chew constantly to push the already eaten food through the intestines.

Propagation Features

When breeding lion-headed rabbits, it is important to maintain thoroughbredness. Crossing eared pets should only be with individuals of this breed. Their reproduction occurs in the same way as in non-pedigree counterparts. A rabbit who has reached puberty - usually this occurs at 7-8 months, is planted in a cage to the male. If she came to the hunt, then there should not be any problems: the female will take care of the gentleman and in a month will bring offspring.

A rabbit of a lion's head breed on average brings 6-7 rabbits in a litter. In order for the offspring to be born healthy and viable, it is necessary to properly feed the sucral female and ensure her complete peace. In this case, after the birth of the cubs, the rabbit will be able to feed them with her milk.

Attention! Since decorative rabbits are weak in immunity, it is vital for newborns to receive mother's milk.
